Lobby Christmas tree rental and setup

Lobby Christmas tree rental and setup is the simplest way for a building to look finished for the season without owning, storing or assembling anything. We deliver a commercial-grade pre-lit tree sized to your ceiling, decorate it on site in your colour scheme, secure it, put it on a timer and come back in January to remove it. The tree lives in our warehouse the other eleven months.

Trees run from 7 ft for a reception corner to 20+ ft for an atrium or hotel lobby. All are pre-lit with warm-white or coloured LED, then dressed with ribbon, ornaments, picks and a topper chosen to match your finishes or brand. Elevator-lobby and reception trees often pair with lit gift boxes and planters so the whole floor reads as one design.

Setup happens after hours or overnight so tenants and guests never see a half-built tree. Trees over 12 ft go up with a lift and a two-person crew. Maintenance is included: if a light section fails or a stroller pulls a ribbon loose, we fix it at no charge. Leasing is our default recommendation for lobby trees, and the FAQ below explains why.

What's included

Everything in a lobby tree rental program

01

Tree sized to the space

We measure ceiling height, the footprint you can give up and the sightline from the entrance before recommending a size. A 9 ft tree suits most office and condo lobbies; 12 to 16 ft fills a double-height entrance; 20+ ft is for atriums and hotel lobbies. Width matters as much as height for traffic flow.

02

Pre-lit commercial-grade tree

Our trees are commercial grade with dense tips and factory-wired LED lighting that is tested before it leaves the warehouse. Warm white is standard; coloured and multi-tone options are available. The lighting is wired in sections so a fault affects one section, and we carry replacements on the truck.

03

Full decoration in your scheme

Ribbon, shatterproof ornaments, picks, florals and a topper, placed by our crew on site. Gold and warm white for marble lobbies, navy and silver for glass and steel, red and gold for traditional interiors, or your brand colours. Ornaments are wired on, not hooked, so they survive the season.

04

Secured, powered and on a timer

Trees are set on a weighted base and, where height requires, tied off discreetly to prevent tipping in a busy lobby. The plug runs to a timer we supply, set to your building hours. Cords are routed under covers or behind the skirt so there is nothing to trip on.

05

Accent trees, gift boxes and planters

A tall tree flanked by two lit accent trees is the classic lobby composition. Lit gift boxes beside elevators, matching planters at the doors and a wreath on the glass finish the floor. These pieces are quoted as add-ons so you can build the program up over a few seasons.

06

Removal, refurbishment and storage

In the first three weeks of January we remove the tree and decor, inventory the ornaments and ribbon by building, and store everything in our climate-controlled warehouse. Trees are tested and refurbished before next season. Your install date is held as a returning client.

How it works

Four steps, no surprises

  1. 1

    Measure and recommend

A quick site visit or a few photos with ceiling height is enough to size the tree and propose a scheme. We note elevator or stair access for the delivery, power location and where the lift can set up if the tree is tall.

  2. 2

    Approve the look

You get a written scope with tree height, colour scheme, accent pieces and reference photos, priced per season or on a multi-year term. Boards and GMs can approve a specific design rather than a vague line item.

  3. 3

    Overnight setup

We deliver, assemble, decorate and clean up in one after-hours visit for most lobbies. Tall atrium trees take a lift and a second night. Lights are tested, the timer is set and we photograph the finished tree for your records.

  4. 4

    Service and January removal

Any issue through the season is fixed at no charge. In January we remove the tree on a date you choose, usually before the 21st, and store it labelled in our warehouse for next year.

FAQ

Lobby Tree Rental questions

How much does lobby Christmas tree rental and setup cost?
Programs are quoted per season from a site visit or photos. As a typical range, a 9 ft fully decorated pre-lit tree with delivery, setup, maintenance, removal and storage commonly starts around $1,500 per season. Taller trees, accent trees, gift boxes and planters add to that, and 16 to 20+ ft atrium trees with lift installation run well into the thousands. Multi-year agreements lock the price. These are typical figures, not quotes.
Should we lease a lobby tree or buy one?
For most buildings, leasing wins. You pay one seasonal price that covers the tree, decoration, setup, maintenance, removal and storage, with no capital purchase, no storage room given up and no staff time assembling branches. Buying makes sense only if you have dry storage and expect to run the same tree for many years; you still pay annually for setup, service and takedown. We explain both honestly in the quote.
Can a 20 ft tree get into our lobby?
Usually, yes. Tall trees are built in sections on site, so the question is lift access and ceiling height, not door width. We check the route from the loading dock, the elevator cab size for the sections and where a lift can set up on your floor. If the lobby cannot take a lift, we build with ladders and scaffold where safe. We confirm all of this during the site visit before quoting.
What if the lights on the tree fail mid-season?
Call or text and we come out and fix it at no charge. Our trees are wired in sections, so a fault usually takes out one band of lights rather than the whole tree, and we carry replacement sections and plugs on the truck. The same applies to ribbon, ornaments or a tree that has been nudged by a mover. Maintenance is included on every rental program for the full season.
Do you install trees we already own?
No. We only set up trees and decor from our own inventory so we can warranty the lights, replace sections on the spot and store everything properly in January. Customer-owned trees often have mixed-age lighting and no spare parts, which turns a service call into a guessing game. If you already own a tree, compare its annual setup and storage effort against a lease price; most buildings find the lease is simpler and looks better.
