Commercial Holiday Decorating in Waterloo

Waterloo is a compact city with a lot of commercial property packed into a few nodes, and we cover all of them from our London base about an hour away. Uptown Waterloo along King Street and around Waterloo Public Square, the University District along University Avenue and Northdale, the research and technology park off Columbia Street and the retail corridor around Conestoga and King Street North each have owners and managers who want a clean, insured holiday install. We supply pre-lit lobby trees, garland, wreaths and exterior lighting from our own inventory and maintain it all season.

The tech campuses are what make Waterloo different. Head offices and research buildings in the David Johnston Research + Technology Park and the Idea Quarter have big glass atriums, landscaped courtyards and employee populations that notice when the lobby looks good. We size a tree to the atrium, match the palette to the brand or the interior finishes, add garland and lit planters and run string lights or warm-white tree wraps across the courtyards. Installs happen overnight through facilities so the first shift walks into a finished space.

Uptown Waterloo and the student-housing towers along University and King add a very different mix of needs: restaurants and boutiques wanting warm-white storefront outlines and wrapped boulevard trees, and purpose-built rental buildings wanting a lobby tree and a wreath that make the building feel like home before exams. Seasonal leasing bundles everything into one price, and multi-year agreements lock the schedule. Call 519-266-6796 or send plans and photos and we will reply within one business day about a Waterloo site visit.

Where we work in Waterloo

Uptown Waterloo

King Street between Erb and Union, Waterloo Public Square and the side streets around the Perimeter Institute hold restaurants, boutiques, offices and new condo towers along the ION line. Warm-white storefront outlines, wrapped boulevard trees, wreaths on posts and condo lobby trees suit the core, and we coordinate with the Uptown Waterloo BIA on the streetscape.

University District and Northdale

University Avenue, Phillip Street and the Northdale blocks between the two universities are dense with purpose-built student rentals, plazas and restaurants. Lobby trees and entrance wreaths for the rental towers, fascia outlines and cone trees for the plazas and bistro lights over restaurant patios give the district a finished look during the busiest study weeks.

David Johnston R+T Park and the Idea Quarter

The research and technology park off Columbia Street and the tech campuses around Phillip and Wes Graham Way have glass atriums, courtyards and long entrance drives. A tree sized to the atrium, lit planters at reception, warm-white tree wraps along the drive and string lights across courtyards give these head offices a consistent corporate holiday look.

Conestoga and King Street North

The retail node around Conestoga Mall, King Street North and Northfield Drive, plus The Boardwalk on Ira Needles, has large plazas, hotels, dealerships and seniors' residences. Fascia outlines, lit cone trees at entrances and pylons, wrapped parking-lot trees and leased lobby trees inside hotels and residences cover the usual scope, installed early morning or overnight.

What does commercial holiday decorating cost in Waterloo?
Waterloo projects are quoted from a site visit or plans and photos. Typical ranges: a lobby tree program starts around $1,500 per season for a 9 foot decorated tree and reaches five figures for a tech atrium or multi-building program. Exterior lighting starts at a few thousand for a storefront or restaurant and runs to tens of thousands for a campus or plaza. Footage, tree height, lift needs and term length set the final quote.
When do Waterloo holiday installs happen?
Site visits and design run July through September. Installs run October to late November, with most Waterloo campuses, lobbies and plazas going in during the first three weeks of November. Takedown is in the first three weeks of January, after students return. Signing by early October reserves your week, and multi-year agreements keep the same slot and pricing in following seasons.
Which Waterloo properties do you decorate?
Tech head offices and research buildings in the R+T Park and Idea Quarter, condo and student-housing lobbies in Uptown and Northdale, hotels near the universities and King Street North, plazas around Conestoga and The Boardwalk, Uptown restaurants and boutiques, seniors' residences, places of worship and the Uptown BIA. Interior lobby trees and garland and exterior rooflines, tree wraps, cone trees and courtyard string lights are all in scope.
