Commercial Christmas light installation for buildings, trees and grounds

Commercial Christmas light installation is the core of what we do outdoors: building outlines and rooflines, porte-cochère and canopy lighting, lit columns and entrances, tree wrapping, cone trees, hedges, walkways, boulevards and parking-lot trees. We have lit commercial properties across Southwestern Ontario, the GTA and Hamilton-Niagara since 2016, from a single storefront to multi-building campuses and downtown streetscapes. Everything we hang is our own commercial-grade inventory.

We use commercial-grade LED strings and C9 bulbs on our own clips and stock, so the product survives Ontario wind, ice and snow load without failing in week two. Crews work from bucket trucks and aerial lifts, which means rooflines three and four storeys up and mature boulevard trees are in scope, not just what a ladder reaches. That reach also means fewer ladders on your property and a faster night.

Installs are scheduled after hours or overnight so parking, deliveries and customers are not disrupted, and every circuit runs on a timer or photocell. If a strand goes out, a clip lets go in a storm or a plow clips a cone tree, we fix it at no charge. January takedown, labelled storage and priority dates next season are part of every program.

What's included

Everything in a exterior lighting program

01

Rooflines and building outlines

C9 LED bulbs or commercial mini lights along eaves, parapets, gables and ridgelines so the building reads from the road. We measure the linear footage, pick the clip for your edge detail (shingle, flashing, metal fascia, stone) and run the feed to a protected outlet on a timer. Multi-storey rooflines are installed from a lift.

02

Porte-cochères, canopies and columns

Entrance canopies, drive-through porte-cochères and the columns that carry them are where guests and tenants actually stand. We outline the canopy edge, wrap or garland the columns and add wreaths at the drop-off so the arrival moment is lit. Clearance for delivery trucks and coach height is checked before anything is hung.

03

Tree wrapping

Trunk and branch wrapping on deciduous and evergreen trees at entrances, along boulevards and across courtyards, in warm white or colours. Mature trees are wrapped from a lift so the canopy is lit, not just the first eight feet. Wraps are tied off so growth and wind do not cut into bark.

04

Cone trees, hedges and landscape

Lit cone trees in beds and along frontage, hedges and shrubs wrapped or netted, walkways and planters lit at ground level. Cone trees are staked against wind and set back from plow lines. Landscape lighting in blue or warm white adds depth under the roofline work without adding much to the power load.

05

Parking lots and boulevard trees

Rows of parking-lot evergreens, median cone trees and street-tree wrapping along the frontage. These runs need traffic management, lift positioning and a power plan that often uses lamp-post receptacles or dedicated weatherproof feeds. We handle the layout, the cones and the overnight scheduling so the lot stays open by day.

06

Power, timers and season service

We map every circuit before install, split loads so no breaker is near its limit and put each feed on a timer or photocell set to your hours. Weatherproof connections are taped and elevated off the ground. Faults during the season are fixed at no charge, including after storms, and takedown and storage follow in January.

How it works

Four steps, no surprises

  1. 1

    Site visit and power survey

We walk the property between July and September, measure rooflines and tree sizes, locate exterior outlets and lamp-post receptacles, check lift access and note where coach or truck clearance matters. Remote sites can start from photos and a site plan.

  2. 2

    Design and quote

You receive a written scope with footage, tree counts, colour choices and lift requirements, priced per season or on a multi-year agreement that locks the price and the dates. We flag any electrical work your electrician should handle before we arrive.

  3. 3

    Overnight installation

Crews install October through late November so the property is lit before Black Friday. Work runs after hours with bucket trucks and lifts, cones and spotters for traffic, and a final timer check before we leave the site.

  4. 4

    Service, takedown and storage

Any fault is fixed at no charge through the season, with storm checks after major wind or ice. Takedown runs the first three weeks of January. Product is inventoried, labelled by location and stored in our warehouse for your next install.

FAQ

Exterior Lighting questions

How much does commercial Christmas light installation cost in Ontario?
It is quoted from a site visit or from photos and a site plan. As a typical range, exterior programs start from a few thousand dollars for a storefront roofline and entrance, and run to tens of thousands for a plaza, campus or multi-building property with tree wrapping and parking-lot trees. Linear footage, tree count and size, lift requirements and one-season versus multi-year are the price drivers. These are typical ranges, not quotes.
Do you need power on the roof or can you run from ground outlets?
Most rooflines run from existing exterior outlets, with feeds routed up a downspout or column and secured. We map circuits before install so no single breaker carries more than it should and keep connections weatherproofed and off the ground. Lamp-post receptacles work well for parking-lot and boulevard trees. If a property has no suitable outlet where we need it, we tell you in the quote so your electrician can add a weatherproof GFCI before install.
How do you keep lights working through wind, ice and snow?
We use commercial-grade LED product on purpose-made clips rather than consumer strings and zip ties, tie off tree wraps so they do not slide, stake cone trees and keep connections elevated and taped. Each circuit sits on a timer or photocell. After a major storm we check the property, and anything that has come loose or gone dark is fixed at no charge. That service is part of every program, not an add-on.
Can you install without closing the parking lot or blocking the entrance?
Yes. Exterior installs are scheduled after hours or overnight, when the lot is empty and the entrance is quiet. We bring cones and a spotter for lift work near traffic and keep fire lanes and loading areas clear. Porte-cochère work is timed around check-in and deliveries. By the time the first customer or tenant arrives, the lift is gone and the lights are set to come on that evening.
What happens to the lights in January?
We take everything down in the first three weeks of January, including the clips, cords and timers, and leave the building as we found it. Product is inventoried, labelled by location and stored in our warehouse, where it is tested and refurbished before next season. Your install dates are held as a returning client. If you own the product rather than lease it, the same takedown and storage service applies under your annual program.
